Montreal, September 18, 2006 – AXON Integration and Development, Inc. is pleased to announce the signing of a major agreement for the development of the new generation systems of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance, an Industrial Alliance Group company.

The project goal is the modernization of the enterprise legacy systems into new Web-based applications developed within a service oriented architecture (SOA).

"After a thorough study of the solutions which were offered to us and the evaluation of the main firms on the market, we chose AXON, which distinguished itself from the others because, inter alia, of their personalized approach, their attentiveness to the customer, and their competence in the modernization of RPG applications", said Marcel Lortie, Director Technologies, Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance.

The agreement includes acquisition of a customized version of the AXON Plus Java integration and development platform, to support the transformation and re-use of existing RPG applications, as well as the development and deployment of new Web-based business applications within an SOA architecture.

The IT staff of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance will actively participate in the project and will takeover the evolution of the new systems at project completion.  To this end, AXON has included training, coaching, and knowledge transfer activities in its project management methodology.  With this investment, Industrial Alliance Home and Auto Insurance’s clients will benefit from state-of-the-art technologies, and the insurance company will continue to reach its goal of high quality service.
